Abstract—The core of this paper is to analyze and filter the noisy signals by various adaptive filtering techniques in
simulink using MATLAB. The objectives of the thesis are as follows: (a) Design a simulink model to De-noise the ECG
signal. (b) To perform the MATLAB simulation of Least Mean Squared (LMS) and Normalized Least Mean Squared
(NLMS) algorithms and to compare their relative performance. (c) To compare the performance of NLMS and LMS
algorithms in terms of SNR, Percentage of error, MSE, PSD, Convergence rate improvement for an ECG signal.
