Small Infrared Target Feature Extraction And Feature Selection

Abstract
Detection of small infrared target is very important and crucial technique for many applications. Different proposed algorithms have shown significant impact in this field. Detection of true target and reduction of false alarm caused by many atmospheric conditions increases the quality of detection. To detect the true target efficiently machine learning approach is there. For the learning purpose preprocessing and dimensionality reduction are important and necessary steps. For preprocessing we need to know relevant features of the target. This paper mainly focuses on extraction of different features and for dimensionality reduction selection of most appropriate feature is done using forward feature selection approach.
