Adopting Software as a Service (SAAS) in the Government Sector of Saudi Arabia

Abstract
Cloud computing is a new technology that has been the focus of Information Technology researchers worldwide. SaaS (Software as a Service) is one of the Cloud services that enables its users to access software based on their demand. Currently, Cloud has not been adopted, nor was SaaS utilized, or in other words neither officially nor properly implemented in government agencies of Saudi Arabia. This work demonstrates how the government of Saudi Arabia could benefit from adopting and implementing a SaaS in the Cloud, and the means that contribute to the success of such adoption and implementation with consideration to security related issues.
