Q-Roving: Intelligent Security System using Location based Technology for Occupational Safety
Abstract
Recently, highly accurate positioning devices enable us to provide various types of location-based services. On
the other hand, because of such limitations of the GPS, the researcher included QR code scanning and positioning to be able
to locate the exact position of the user and the device. In this paper, the researcher proposes a location- based technique to
protect the location privacy of the users of location-based services. In the proposed technique, such users generate several
false position data to send to service providers with the true position data of users. Be- cause service providers cannot
distinguish the true position data; user location privacy is protected. We also describe a cost reduction technique through the
use of the business analytics/intelligence to predict the repairable and replaceable equipment. Moreover, the researcher
conducted performance study experiments on the proposed technique using practical position data. As a result of the
experiments, the researcher observed that our proposed technique can already locate the exact positioning of the patrol
guards and can be applied in practical location-based services.
