Paper Title
IBLINK: Eye Blink Detection and Communication Using Morse Code
Abstract
Paralysis is a situation that influences many people worldwide and imposes challenges on them, leading to
immobility and trouble in communication. Many paralyzed individuals are unable to specify themselves through speech
because they lack musculature, important for talking, even though they have got cognitive capabilities. Although there may
still be some who can move their eyes like those who suffer from cerebral palsy or locked-in syndrome, effective
communication remains a challenge for them. For this reason, our study iBlink, creates an advanced real-time interactive
platform using computer vision technologies. Our platform ensures that paralyzed individuals can communicate effortlessly
despite being blind, deaf or unable to talk any more. The eyeblink detection technology, which enables users to convey the
messages with basic eye motions, is the key component of our system which utilizes OpenCV and Media-pipe. After then,
these blinks are converted into Morse code through mapping, which offers a dependable and effective way to communicate.
iBlink platform makes sure that people with different needs and abilities may express themselves and communicate with
others in real time by utilizing these strategies. With the help of our platform iBlink, people will be able to express their
needs and opinions freely, which will bring great changes to their life and promote accessibility and inclusiveness to all.
