Paper Title
Improvement Of Power Quality Using Cascaded Multilevel Inverter In T-Statcom Based System

Abstract
A Cascaded Multi-Level Inverter (Cascaded H-Bridge type) in combination with T-STATCOM is proposed, which is used to improve the power quality in the transmission system by providing reactive power compensation to rectify the voltage sag and voltage swell problems thus improving the power factor and reducing the harmonics by effectively decreasing the THD. The Cascaded multilevel inverter is designed to obtain the more number of voltage levels to obtain a pure sinusoidal voltage output, by varying the supply to the switches and thus reducing the number of switches required to produce the same voltage levels in a traditional multi-level inverter. It also enhances the absence of clamping diodes and flying capacitors which reduces the switching losses and stress. In this proposed technology has been designed using Cascaded Multilevel Inverter in T-STATCOM based system which significantly rectifies the power quality issues and reduces harmonics which is conformed through simulation investigation.
